Goal-setting can work, but it is so much easier to simply manifest your desires with the Law of Attraction.
Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about the life you wish you had? Maybe you dream of owning a beautiful home, traveling the world, or starting your own successful business. Whatever your goals may be, the Law of Attraction can help you manifest them into reality.
The Law of Attraction is based on the principle that like attracts like. This means that the thoughts and emotions you put out into the world attract similar thoughts and emotions back to you. In other words, if you focus on positive thoughts and feelings, you will attract positive experiences into your life. And the opposite is true as well – if you focus on negative thoughts and feelings, you will attract negative experiences.
So how can you use the Law of Attraction to create your dream life? It all starts with your thoughts and beliefs.
In traditional goal-setting, you create a plan and take steps to achieve your goals. While this can be effective, it requires a lot of effort and hard work to make your goals a reality. On the other hand, the Law of Attraction is based on the idea that you can manifest your desires simply by aligning your thoughts and beliefs with what you want to attract into your life. And this strategy for achieving what you want feels quite effortless and magical. I like to combine both strategies (attraction + action) to create my ideal life.
The Law of Attraction leverages the fact that everything in the universe is made up of energy. By focusing your thoughts and beliefs on your goals and desires, you can attract them into your life effortlessly. You can tap into the power of the universe and allow it to bring your desires to you, rather than trying to force them through sweat and determination.
While it’s important to take action toward your goals, the Law of Attraction emphasizes the power of positive thinking and visualization as a way to manifest your desires. By focusing on what you want, and believing that you can have it, you can attract it into your life effortlessly.
In short, the Law of Attraction is different from simple goal setting. It emphasizes the power of positive thinking and visualization as a way to manifest your desires effortlessly. You align your thoughts and beliefs with what you want to attract into your life.
Step 1: Get clear on your goals and desires
The first step in manifesting the life of your dreams is to get clear on what you want. Take some time to really think about what you want your ideal life to look like. Write down your goals and desires and be as specific as possible. Instead of saying “I want to be rich,” try saying “I want to make $100,000 a year doing work I love.” The more specific you are, the better! Getting clear on your goals is an important step in using the Law of Attraction to manifest your desires.
Here are some things you can do to clarify what you want:
Journaling: Take some time to write down your goals in a journal or notebook. Write out what you want to achieve, why it’s important to you, and what steps you need to take to make it happen. This will help you get a clear picture of what you really want.
Visualization: Spend some time each day visualizing yourself achieving your goals. Imagine yourself in great detail doing what you want to do, feeling what you want to feel, and experiencing the success you desire. This will help you get a clear mental image of your goals and increase your motivation.
Brainstorming: Get creative and brainstorm different ways to achieve your goals. Write down all the possible steps you could take to make your dreams a reality. This will help you clarify your ideas and identify the best course of action.
Seeking Inspiration: Get inspired by others who have achieved similar goals to yours. Read books, watch videos, and listen to podcasts from successful people who have gone before you. This will help you get a better understanding of what it takes to achieve your goals and spur you into action.
By using these methods, you can get clear on your goals and increase your chances of manifesting your desires by using the Laws of Attraction.
Step 2: Believe it’s possible
Once you’ve identified your desires and goals, the next step is to believe that they are possible. This can be the hardest step for many people, especially if you’ve been stuck in a negative mindset for a long time. But it’s crucial that you believe in yourself and your ability to manifest the life you want.
One way to cultivate a more positive mindset is to start small. Set a ridiculously small goal for yourself and do it. Once you’ve achieved that tiny goal, you’ll start to build confidence in your ability to create the life you want. Reward yourself for each tiny achievement. You’ll quickly build confidence and increase your ability to attract the right people and opportunities effortlessly.
Let’s say your goal is to start your own business. Getting clear on this goal means defining what type of business you want to start, what products or services you will offer, who your ideal customers are, and what your long-term vision is.
To do this, you might start by asking yourself some questions:
What am I passionate about?
Which skills or talents do I have that could be turned into a business?
What problems do I see in the world that I could solve with a business?
Who are my ideal customers and what do they need or want?
What is my long-term vision for this business?
Write down your answers to these questions, and use them to create a clear, concise statement of your goal. For example, “My goal is to start a sustainable clothing brand that offers high-quality, ethically-made clothing for eco-conscious consumers.”
Once you have a clear goal in mind, you can begin using other Law of Attraction techniques, such as visualization and affirmation, or decluttering, to help manifest your desires into reality.
Step 3: Visualize your success
Visualization is a powerful tool that can help you manifest your goals. Spend some time each day visualizing yourself achieving your goals. Imagine what it would feel like to live in your dream home, travel to your favorite destinations, or run a successful business. The more vividly you can imagine your success, the more likely it is to become a reality.
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.” – Wayne Dyer
Step 4: Do Something!
While visualization is important, it may not be enough on its own. You also need to take steps toward your goals. This means setting a plan and doing something, however small, to achieve your goals each day. The power of small changes is magnified over time. If you don’t know where to start, decluttering is a simple way to activate the laws of attraction.
Step 5: Stay positive to manifest your desires
Finally, it’s important to stay positive no matter what life dishes up in order to manifest your desires. Negative thoughts and energy will only repel the very thing you want to attract. The Law of Attraction responds to the energy you put out into the world. So, if you’re constantly negative and pessimistic, you’ll only attract more negativity into your life. Instead, stay optimistic and focus on the progress you’re making toward your goals, however small. I appreciate that it isn’t necessarily easy to stay positive in the face of adversity and setbacks.
Activating the Law of Attraction is a process. It’s not a magic wand that you can wave to instantly manifest your dreams (although sometimes it can feel magical). I’ve found that I always end up attracting what I really want, but not necessarily when I think I want it! Take consistent action combined with a positive mindset and you can create the life you want.
How I Manifested an International Bestselling Book and Coaching Company
Years ago, I was feeling stuck in my job and yearning for a career change. I knew I wanted to pursue coaching and start my own business, but I wasn’t sure where to begin. I was clueless about how to set up a business.
One day, I stumbled upon a book called Simplify Your Life by Elaine St. James and had a flash insight that I could write a book about coaching. In the good old days of 1996, there were no published books on coaching as the field was brand new. Hard to believe now that everybody and their brother is a life coach. I started by drafting a rough outline of 100 coaching tips which became the outline for my first book, Coach Yourself to Success: 101 Tips to Accomplish Your Personal and Professional Goals.
Then I used positive visualization to attract an agent and a publisher after attending Shatki Gawain’s Creative Visualization seminar in NYC. Then, once my book was published I manifested that my book would become an international bestseller by writing it down 15 times a day (Tip 92 in Coach Yourself to Success). It all seemed to be painstakingly slow at the time and there were numerous setbacks along the way. But I held the vision of the bestselling book in my mind throughout.
Next, I began visualizing my success as a motivational speaker. I imagined myself traveling around the world leading seminars, and working with 1-1 private coaching clients. I pictured myself feeling fulfilled and happy in my work.
Despite my doubts and fears (would I make enough money as a coach to pay my rent in NYC?), I started taking steps to become a life coach and a speaker. I signed up for coach training and started leading free seminars in my tiny NYC apartment. I invited the attendees to sign up for a free month of coaching to try it. It was all very new and exciting as life coaching was in its infancy as a profession.
Then I attracted some publicity and was interviewed for the first major magazine article about life coaching in Newsweek, “Need a Life, Get a Coach” in 1996. Like attracts like so this led to one article after another, including Fortune magazine. I even ended up on the cover of Entrepreneur’s Start-Ups magazine on “How to be a Homebased Millionaire” (September 2000).
To make progress, I started researching how to start a business and hired a life coach to help me get started. I also took courses and read books to improve my skills.
Finally, I stayed positive and focused on my dreams, even when things got tough.
There were times when I felt discouraged or overwhelmed, but I carried on, knowing that every small step was bringing me closer to my dreams.
Over time, my monthly seminars began to pay off. I landed my first few coaching clients and gradually started building my life coaching business while still working full-time at the bank. Eventually, I was able to quit my job and work from home full-time, doing work I loved.
It wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight, but by using the Law of Attraction and taking consistent action toward my goals, I was able to create the life I had always dreamed of.
Today I am the proud owner of an international coaching company, LifeCoach, with a hand-picked team of excellent coaches working with private clients around the world. I am a bestselling author and have written and published three books, including The Secret Laws of Attraction: The Effortless Way to Get the Relationship You Want.
I know from my own experience that the Law of Attraction is a powerful tool for manifesting your desires and goals. However, it also requires action on your part. By getting clear on your goals, believing it is possible, visualizing your success, taking action, and staying positive, you can create the life you want. It may not happen overnight. But with patience and persistence, you can create your dream life and it doesn’t have to be a struggle.
