Ever wondered how some people effortlessly attract success, abundance, and happiness into their lives using the laws of attraction? The secret lies in harnessing the basic principles that govern manifestation: like attracts like. Whether it’s landing the perfect job, building unshakeable confidence, or creating a sense of abundance, the laws of attraction can help you realize your deepest desires.
Below, I share three exercises to activate the laws of attraction as well as some real-life success stories that demonstrate their profound impact. Now, get ready to discover how you can manifest the life you’ve always dreamed of…
Scripting Exercise: Set aside time each day to write in detail about your ideal life as if it’s already happening. Use present tense language and be as specific as possible about your desires, goals, and experiences. This exercise helps to solidify your intentions and align your energy with what you want to attract.
For years Aisha wanted to quit her stressful job in telecommunication sales. She yearned for a job that would bring her more fulfillment, working with children and sports. She decided to try experimenting with the scripting exercise, writing in detail about her ideal job as if it had already happened. Every day, Aisha dedicated time to writing about her dream role. She described the work environment, her responsibilities, and her supportive colleagues. Within a few weeks of consistent scripting, Aisha stumbled upon a job listing that matched everything she had written about. She applied with confidence, aced the interviews, and was offered the position.
Today, Aisha loves her work and is still amazed at the power of scripting in manifesting her dream job. The secret is to write as if it is already true for you. Don’t use words like, “I’ll love working with my new colleagues” as that is in the future. Instead write it in the present: “I had another great day working with the children. I really love my colleagues as they are so friendly and helpful and I admire the principal of the school. She has such a great sense of humor and is keen to support me in my ideas for expanding the sports department. I already feel like a valued team player and fit right in.”
Mirror Work: Stand in front of a mirror and affirm positive statements about yourself and your life. Speak them aloud with conviction and emotion, such as “I am financially free and effortlessly attract the things I need” or “I attract success effortlessly.” Mirror work can help reprogram your subconscious mind and boost your self-confidence.
Ravi struggled with low self-esteem and doubted his ability to succeed in his personal and professional life. He decided to incorporate mirror work into his daily routine as a way to boost his self-confidence. Every morning and evening, Ravi stood in front of the mirror, looked himself in the eyes, and repeated his affirmations. “I am worthy of success” and “I am an excellent computer programmer.”
Initially, Ravi felt awkward and uncomfortable, but he persisted with the practice. Over time, he noticed a shift in his self-perception. He began to see himself as capable and deserving of the life he desired. With newfound confidence, Ravi pursued opportunities he once thought were out of reach. Much to his amazement, he started dating an attractive and successful woman. And, he landed a new job paying $20,000 more than he had been earning.
Gratitude Walk: Take a walk outdoors while consciously focusing on everything you’re grateful for. Notice the beauty around you and appreciate the abundance of nature. Feel gratitude for your body’s ability to move. This exercise helps raise your vibration and shift your focus from lack to gratitude.
Emily felt overwhelmed by financial stress and struggled with a scarcity mindset. She kept focusing on her bills and thinking she never had enough money. To shift her perspective, I suggested she start taking gratitude walks in nature a few times a week. During her walks, Emily immersed herself in the beauty of her surroundings, expressing gratitude for the abundance in her life, however small. She appreciated the warmth of the sun on her skin, the vibrant colors of the flowers, and the sound of birds chirping.
As Emily focused on the beauty around her, she began to notice blessings flowing into her life. She received an unexpected bonus at work, found a great dress she needed for a wedding for $15 at a charity shop, and even won a small lottery prize. Emily’s experience taught her the power of gratitude in attracting abundance easily and effortlessly.
If you don’t have beautiful nature nearby, then an alternative exercise is to simply write a heartfelt thank you note every day or so. This is one of my very favorite exercises for manifesting good things in your life. And, it has the added benefit of spreading joy to those around you.
Bonus Exercise:
Dream Incubation: Before going to bed, set the intention to receive guidance or insights related to your desires through your dreams. Keep a dream journal by your bedside to record any dreams or messages you receive upon waking. Pay attention to recurring themes or symbols that may offer valuable insights into your manifestation journey.
All of these exercises are designed to help you activate the laws of attraction and align your thoughts and actions with your desired reality. The more you believe that you are already living your dream life, the easier it is to attract your dream life. Your brain wants your stated reality to match your actual reality.
Of course, it helps if you don’t sabotage your results. I remember one client who wanted to quit her work as a realtor and do something more fulfilling. We had been coaching together for some months when out of the blue she received a phone call from a former professor. He invited her to join him and some colleagues on a job overseas. It came to her so easily, that she nearly rejected the offer! I told her this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and that the other position she was considering would still be there when she got back.
Self-sabotage is a real danger. We naturally tend to discount or dismiss things that seem too good to be true or that come too easily. This is due to an unconscious belief that we have to work hard to get things. Not true! Wonderful things and opportunities can just land in your lap without much effort at all.
The work you do is on thinking and visualizing what it is you want. Then, relax and let the universe do the hard work. And remember to say yes to the good things that come your way!
Experiment with some of the techniques I’ve shared above and incorporate those that resonate most strongly with you into your daily life. Then, notice what you start to attract. I recommend keeping a list of all the things that you start attracting, even minor things like finding pennies on the street. This is a tiny step in the right direction of abundance.
Finally, remember that you hold the power to shape your reality. By applying the laws of attraction in your life, you can manifest your deepest desires and create the life you truly want. Trust in the process, and keep believing in the limitless possibilities that await you.
