Later, as you get more comfortable using these attraction techniques, you can do a whole list at once. I do this every year with my year-end ritual.

Choose an affirmation that resonates with your dream. For instance, if your goal is to achieve career success, you might say, “I am a capable and successful professional.” Now, repeat this affirmation as you visualize your desired outcome.

And then take a few minutes to do Exercise 3 below to reprogram your brain for positivity.

Reflecting on your journey will reinforce your confidence and commitment. I have had great success using the simple technique of writing down what I want 10 times a day in my journal. First start with the words “I am….” and fill in the blank with your focal point. There is great power in this simple step as you are programming your brain with daily repetition. You can use this technique for just about anything, from getting a well-deserved raise or promotion (I am the Managing Partner of XYZ Company) to reaching a specific target in golf.
