Two minutes after finishing the list, I got an email with a home that fit my wish list exactly! I went to see it and then realized that I hadn’t been specific enough in my list. The house was a match for what I’d written, but it wasn’t really what I wanted. I’m now adding more details to my ideal home description, with clear intentions, and I’ll spend some time imagining myself living in that new home.

2. Ask Soulful Questions. Skip “What do I want?” and instead ask: What kind of life energizes me? What do I desire that feels too big to admit? If nothing could go wrong, what would I do next?

Let your answers pour out. Don’t judge or edit. Your clarity lives inside the raw truth.

3. Create Emotion-Rich Intention Statements. Turn those desires into clear, present-tense statements that include how you want to feel. For example: “I am running my own consultancy, earning $95,000 a year, choosing my clients, and spending my afternoons with my kids and dogs.”

Avoid vague words like “more,” “better,” or “someday.” Speak as if it’s already happening.

4. Feel It as If It’s Already Real. This is the energetic glue. Sit quietly each day and visualize your intention fulfilled. Let it settle into your nervous system. Feel the joy of receiving a “yes,” the confidence of saying “no” to what no longer fits, the safety of being supported.

If resistance arises, pause and say: “I see you, and I choose trust.”

5. Turn it into a single intention statement.
6. Ask: What’s one step I can take today toward this vision?
7. Take that step.
