It is very difficult to be irresistibly attractive to anything if we are tired, grumpy and exhausted. Whatever you need to do to make your bedroom a restful haven, do it. In fact, one of the ways to very quickly and easily live the same quality life of the very wealthy is to get the absolute best quality mattress, sleep on 300-thread count, 100% cotton sheets; and make sure your bedroom is quiet. As we spend a good 8 hours a day in bed, this means your quality of life will, for 8 hours a day, be the same quality as the very wealthy for a fairly minimal investment. After all, when we are asleep, no matter how much money we might have, our eyes are closed, so it is the mattress that really counts. As the comfort of a mattress is a highly personal choice, you might take note if you slept in a hotel bed that was particularly comfortable or stayed at a friends house and slept well. The problem with trying beds in the showroom is that it is very hard to tell unless you’ve actually spent the night in a bed. Some shops are now offering a 30-day trial period and you can return the bed for one you like better if you aren’t happy. This is an excellent idea as what feels comfortable for ten minutes in a showroom might feel too soft or too hard overnight. Once you have a really comfortable bed, you might find it is easier to get a good night’s sleep — so essential to our well-being.
Then, consider some restful, easy-on-the-eyes paint for your bedroom walls, as paint is a fairly inexpensive decorating change, even if you buy the most expensive paints. I am very fond of the ethereal, restful paint colors of Farrow and Ball – try Pale Powder or Slipper Satin wall paint for a serene and elegant feel.
Homework:
1. If you don’t already have an excellent mattress, start trying them out in stores and see what you prefer. If you aren’t sure, go for the 30-day home trial experience, which may cost a bit more, but is much cheaper than buying a mattress that isn’t perfect for you.
2. Buy some 100% cotton 300-thread count sheets. Your skin breathes better on cotton than on polyster so you’ll notice the difference immediately.
3. Consider painting the walls a more restful, soothing color.
10 Minute Option:
Buy 300-thread count, 100% cotton sheets for your current mattress from your favorite online store.
