26: Get a Bigger Reserve than You Think You Need

Reserves help us get through the inevitable bumps in the road of life with grace and ease. If you don’t have a reserve of cash on hand and all four tires on the car burst, you’ve got a problem. If you do have a reserve, the problem is annoying, but not a disaster. Most of us already know that we need a good 6 months to 2 years living expenses in a readily accessible savings account to cover the unexpected in life – the bad recessions, the loss of a job or an accident. You may not realize that you can benefit from having a reserve in all areas of your life, not just money. Consider having reserves in the following areas:

Time. Having a minimum of 1 to 2 hours a day that is just for you and time to do what is important.

Space. Having room to think and be without pressure, obligations or adrenaline. Having extra space in your home and work environments. Living free from clutter and excess.

Money. Having more than enough available cash and solid investments to fund your present and future needs.

Energy. Feeling vital, healthy and alive throughout the day and ending the day with energy to spare.

Opportunity. Attracting great people and opportunities to you consistently without effort.

Love.
Being surrounded by loving people who care about you, love you and support you fully.

Knowledge/Information. Having access to the information you need as well as the training and learning that you need to grow professionally and personally.

Wisdom. Having access to people who honor your highest self and challenge you to grow and develop yourself spiritually and emotionally. Your own coach, for example!

Self. Knowing your self well, including what your needs are; your core values; your boundaries; your standards; and your natural talents and abilities. Knowing who you are and what your purpose in life is.

Integrity. Living your life with higher standards than necessary.

Can you imagine how much more secure and confident you will feel? We will work on all these areas over the next few weeks of this online program so relax and enjoy while you start building your reserves.
