On a personal note, I just returned from three weeks of travel. One week in Cornwall with my family, then a week in India to speak to the coaches there. I was one of those folks stranded by the volcanic ash and couldn't get back to London so solved the problem by flying into Madrid and spending a week in Malaga, eating tapas and sitting on the beach until flights back to England were restored. Sometimes there are some real advantages to owning your own business. I did miss my little munchkins, but they were in my mother's loving hands.

India was very hot, spicy and spiritual. Everyone I met was welcoming and gracious. They have a wonderful custom of putting their hands together in prayer and nodding while saying “Namaste.” They explained that in the Hindu religion they believe that God is in all things and when they bow slightly with hands in prayer, it is the God within you that they are acknowledging. What a lovely way to greet someone.

When all flights to England were cancelled and I was effectively stranded for the week, my hosts kindly offered to take me to the temple and show me some other important sites. While in the temple I said a silent prayer that I would get back home safely and at the time that would allow for the highest good. One hour later, I received a phone call that that there was a flight available to Madrid leaving in four hours. Did I want it? I had prepared myself to remain an additional week in India and had even sent my laundry out to be cleaned, but this seemed so fortuitous I took the flight. Talk about the incredible power of prayer! I hadn't planned on catching the spiritual bug while in India, but somehow did and ended up lugging the very heavy Bhagavad-gita back home to see what nuggets it contains.

When things are out of your hands, a little prayer for the highest good can work wonders.
