Talane’s Blog of the Week, December 4, 2006

On Friday, December 1, 2006 at 10:15 a.m., my husband and I welcomed our new baby daughter, Sophia Penelope. She’s 7 pounds and 1 ounce, and mother and daughter are just fine and dandy. Daddy and big sister are fine and dandy, too.

It is a pretty amazing thing, this ability to grow a little person inside your body and for all the pains of child bearing and birthing, I’m glad I’m a woman and have had the opportunity in my life to experience it. And I’m very glad this little munchkin is safely outside the womb and in the world.

No real tip today. I’m just grateful to be a woman and a mother. It is great to be happy with who you are.
