All the best,

Top Ten Tips (plus 4 extras!)

for Creating Reserves of Time and Space

May 2006

It must be a universal law that if you need something, you won’t get it. Conversely, if you don’t need something, you are more likely to attract it. This has to do with the inherently repellent nature of neediness in any form. One of the best ways to effortlessly attract whatever you want in life is to not need it. Ha! A big Catch 22.

The good news is that creating reserves in one area of your life will make it easier to create reserves in other areas. What is a reserve? It is having more than you need, more than you may think you even deserve. It is the feeling of having more than enough.

For example, let’s say you feel strapped financially, but have lots of love and great friendships. You have reserves of love, that is, you have more than enough love to get by.

Here are six key areas to focus on as you develop your reserves:

  1. Money
  2. Love and friendship
  3. Opportunity and momentum
  4. Power
  5. Energy and vitality
  6. Time and space

This month I’ll give you some simple ways to create reserves of time and space. We’ll cover money next month.

(check those that are true)
  1. I keep my gas tank at least half full.
  2. I am always ten minutes early and never rushed.
  3. I am free of all addictions and attachments.
  4. I have a daily routine that is a pleasure.
  5. I use a time management system that works so I do not miss or forget appointments.
  6. I do not run yellow lights, speed or tailgate. I let other cars in.
  7. I don’t do laundry or housework.
  8. I spend ten minutes every day sitting and doing absolutely nothing.
  9. I have one night a week just for me, free from business and personal appointments.
  10. I have a day of rest free from any work (traditionally Saturday or Sunday) every week.
  11. I have nothing in my home or in storage that I haven’t used in the last year or find absolutely beautiful.
  12. I pay bills automatically on-line or by direct debit.
  13. My groceries are delivered weekly.
  14. I check my email once or twice a day at the most.

The more of these you have checked off, the more time and space you will have and the easier life will be.
